Townhouse - Brussels, Belgium
During the renovation of one of the oldest small townhouses of the Marollen, the most charming popular neighbourhood in Brussels, the architect and the owner wanted to make efficient use of the limited space and create an outer space. Thanks to the DXW walkable flat roof window that was installed on the flat roof, the whole of the flat roof, which had been transformed into a terrace, could be used. On top of that, the living space and kitchen, situated below the flat roof, got flooded in natural light. The project was finished during the summer of 2017.
